When we cup this coffee, we get big juicy notes of blueberry and some nice, sweet milk chocolate notes. There’s a pleasing acidity that rounds out the sweetness and the after-taste is reminiscent of black tea with a pinch of sugar and squeeze of lemon. It’s a very dynamic roast, but approachable enough to be a daily drinker.
The beans are traceable to the Koke Washing Station where they are sun-dried with the fruit still on the bean imparting a nice sweetness. They are then hand-sorted providing only the highest-grade beans.
If you’ve been curious about trying light roasts, we highly recommend you start with this one. It represents all the beautiful notes of a light roast Ethiopian coffee and is very easy drinking.
