The lonely Douglas Fir.
Artists Notes:
Standing proud amongst the other trees, taking whatever the coastal winds can throw at it.
A unique tree that can grow up to 300 ft tall, they truly are a sight to be seen.
This piece was drawn the same way all my prints are, while admiring the tree that I'm capturing.
This particular tree caught my eye while I was travelling down the inner Island highway near Errington, BC. I quickly stopped on the side of the road and walked to the field where he stood proud. So I began to draw him, while doing my best to gather his imperfections that make him perfect.
